This tour takes you to colorful bazaars of rich arts and crafts and the vibrant culture of Rajasthan. Full of Forts, Palaces, Temples, Step wells and Natural wonders a tour of Rajasthan will enrich your knowledge about India and its ancient culture. The culture is still prevalent in modern-day times.
Starting from Delhi this tour will take you to all the major attractions of Rajasthan via Agra (The city famous for TAJ). You will be visiting the desert cities of Bikaner and Jaisalmer—the Blue City of Jodhpur and the lake city of Udaipur. You will also enjoy the pleasantness of the Aravalli hills and their village of artisans, reminiscent of a bygone era. Rajasthan is an explosion of colors.  From indigenous tribes to first-class art and craft, Jain temples, forest reserves with endemic species and cities from the most ancient civilizations of the world.

Tour Plan

Upon arrival at Delhi airport and after your immigration clearance and baggage collection and afterwards while coming out of Airport EXIT Gate,  you will be met and greeted there by our office representative and  will be transferred to your hotel. Hotel standard check in time : 1400 Hrs.
Delhi:
 is one of the oldest continually inhabited cities in the world. Having been the capital of several empires in ancient India, Delhi was a major city in the old trade routes from northwest India to the Gangetic Plains. As the seat of the Government of India, New Delhi houses important offices of the federal government, including the Parliament of India.
Check in at hotel and rest of the day is free for relaxation cum your own activities.

After breakfast , proceed for a full-day private tour, with a guide in English (or language of your choice ) speaking . Visit fascinating Old Delhi for a cultural immersion in this beautiful historic city. Drive past Red Fort and Jama Masjid : The Red Fort (Lal Qila) is one of Delhi's top tourist sights. A brilliant red sandstone fort built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan (who also built Agra's Taj Mahal) as his ruling palace. Enjoy Rickshaw ride, passing through the Chandni Chowk market  (where craftsmen sell their wares ) and through the narrow streets of old Delhi where you will come across the   the fusion of current traditions and heritage that were built there. The ride terminates at Jama Masjid mosque which is one of Asia’s largest mosques with its marble domes and splendour minarets. Continue to Raj Ghat (where Gandhiji was cremated). 

Continue your visit to main temple of Sikhism in Delhi: Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, which was originally a palace and has a peculiar golden dome. During the temple visit, the opportunity to participate in food preparation ( subject to time availability) in the communal kitchen run by Gurdwara Committee.

Afternoon, continue with tour of New Delhi, which reflects the legacy the British left behind. The division between New and Old Delhi is the division between the capitals of the British and the Mughals respectively. The division in the walled city and New Delhi also marks the division in the lifestyles. The walled city is all tradition where one will be able to glean a past lifestyle in all its facets colours and spells. New Delhi in contrast, is a city trying to live up to the best of 21st century standards. Drive past India Gate, Government buildings, visit Qutub Minar .

Qutub Minar : also spelled Qutub Minar or Qutab Minar is the tallest brick minaret in the world and an important example of Indo-Islamic Architecture. The Qutub Minar and its monuments are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After breakfast,  proceed to Agra. Upon arrival, you will proceed for Check-in at the hotel.
Agra  : Situated on the bank of River Yamuna, the city is famous for being the capital of the Mughal emperors from 1526 to 1658. It is a major tourist destination for its many Mughal-era buildings such as TAJ Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri, all three of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites .After Lunch, visit to the Agra Fort (an outstanding example of Mughal architecture).Agra Fort - the seat and the stronghold of the Mughal Empire under successive generations. This was the seat of Mughal rule and administration, and the present structure owes its origins to Akbar who erected the walls and gates and the first buildings on the eastern banks of Yamuna River. Shah Jahan added the impressive quarters and the mosque while Aurangzeb added the outer ramparts. Visit its Hall of Public Audience and its Royal Pavilions. Then proceed to Itmad-Ud-Daulah popularly known as Baby Taj.

Early Morning, proceed to visit TAJ MAHAL at Sunrise. The Taj Mahal is everything that has been said about it and more. Taking 22 years and 20,000 men to build, the white marble was quarried 200 miles away and was transported to the site by a fleet of 1000 elephants. Built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as an expression of his love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal, in mid-17th century, the Taj Mahal is truly one of the wonders of the world. Though the Taj appears to be amazingly perfect from almost any angle, it is the close-up marble inlay work, which is really astounding. You will have ample time to view and be mesmerized by this outstanding piece of architecture for approx. 02 Hours.

After breakfast , check out and drive to Jaipur.

Jaipur : Adorned with pink sandstone palaces, majestic forts, and verdant green gardens against a scenic backdrop of the Aravalli hills, Jaipur represents the charm of India’s rich past and the sophistication of a flourishing metropolis. Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II founded the city in 1727 when he decided to shift his capital from Amer. A renowned architect, astronomer, and avid scientist, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II built his capital with geometric precision and made Jaipur one of the most well-planned cities in India.

Upon arrival in Jaipur, transfer to hotel. Then embark on your Cycle Rickshaw ride- This tour is planned to offer you an insight on the socio-economic aspects of the city. Every lane in the walled city has something interesting to offer and the relaxed Rickshaw ride is the best way to explore the city like the locals do.

 

 Enroute to Jaipur, have a brief visit of Abhaneri ( Abhaneri, also spelled Abaneri, is a village and yields ruins of an ancient city, Abhaneri, now popular for the Chand Baori ( Roughly 1000 Years Old Step well ) . Upon arrival in Jaipur, check in at hotel. Evening at leisure for personal activities or if time permits, visit to famous The Laxmi Narayan Temple is commonly known as the Birla Temple . . There is a magnificent museum which exhibits the ancestral possessions of the Birla family.

Optional : visit of Fatehpur Sikri (If interested) . Built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in the mid-16th century, Fatehpur Sikri was meant to be a new capital for his empire. It was also the emperor’s homage to Saint Sheikh Salim Chishti, who predicted the birth of the emperor’s much-desired son and heir. Built in almost uniform style, Sikri is a sprawling complex of palaces, mosques, temples, and other structures. It is a stunning amalgamation of the Persian and Indian styles of building.

After breakfast proceed for the sightseeing tour of Jaipur visiting Amer Fort with Elephant Ride. Enroute to Amer Fort , brief stop at Palace on winds ( Hawa Mahal)  to have photo shoot and glimpses of this Wind Palace. Amer Fort is approximate 10 Kms from Jaipur and is the ancient capital of Jaipur. Fort palace was constructed in 1652 by King Mansingh and later extended and completed by King Jai Singh. Erected on a vast hill, the citadel and its fort were intended to protect the ancient capital of the state of Jaipur.  You will get there on the back of an elephant. Explore the majestic Amer Fort. You will be able to visit the various rooms, the inner courtyards, the rooms of public hearings, the Mughal gardens with its star-shaped flower beds. In addition, Amber Fort offers panoramic views of Lake Maota. After your visit, return down the hill through Jeep. Take out some some time to do shopping of Handicrafts before proceeding further to City Palace, if interested to carry some souvenirs from this city.

City Palace is one of the major landmarks in Jaipur. The beautiful palace was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh during his reign. Among the various forts and palaces of Jaipur, City Palace stands apart, with its outstanding art and architecture. In the Palace complex visit Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum. Visit to Observatory or Jantar Mantar. It is an astronomical observation site built in the early 18th century. Whose passion for science, engineering, and astronomy prompted him to construct this complex of fourteen scientific instruments. It’s been over 200 years since they were first constructed, these fourteen structures can still accurately measure time; predict eclipses, and track stars and planets in their orbits.

Apart, Handicrafts,  Jaipur is also famous for stones and Gems. If interested, one may visit to one of the Handicraft stores for local handicrafts or hand-woven carpets or stone and Gems place to buy or shop around.
Later, proceed for Dinner at one of the old heritage palaces to see the cultural dance performance.

After Breakfast, travel by surface to Bikaner. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. In the afternoon, you will visit Junagarh Fort, Built-in 1593 A.D. by Raja Rai Singh. The fort made in red sandstone and marble, makes a picturesque ensemble of courtyards, kiosks, and windows dotted all over the structure. Bhandasar Jain Temple, a Beautiful 16th century A.D. Jain temple dedicated to the 13th Tirthankara. An enormous archway leads to the Jor mal temple in a spacious courtyard. Take a tuk-tuk ride through the picturesque bazaar then walk through the old town to explore its narrow streets and take the opportunity to visit some ancient havelis.

After breakfast, proceed to Jaisalmer, on the way pass camel carts, vibrant and colourful Rajasthani women carrying produce to the market, and men sporting brightly coloured turbans. On the way, you have lunch (on your own)in the splendid fortress of Pokhran, and you will have time to explore the place. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Later visit Pansari Bazaar, one of the oldest street markets in Jaisalmer. Whether you’re looking for puppets or a variety of local souvenirs, Pansari Bazaar has it all. Sadar Bazaar is the place for any traveling shopaholic to get their fix. Our guide will ensure you get to explore these historic markets without having to deal with the hassle of insistent salesmen.

Today, you will visit Jaisalmer city almost 900 years old. Jaisalmer was a major port on the trade route across the forbidding Thar Desert. The city with its golden crenelated walls and narrow streets lined with exquisite havelis, has a medieval ambiance. The Havelis in both the fort and the town are exceptional. Similar in style to the homes of Venetian merchants, Patwon ki Haveli, Nathmalji ki Haveli the mansions of wealthy traders. The houses are decorated with beautifully carved facades, Jali screens, and oriel windows, each with an inner courtyard surrounded by richly decorated apartments.

Later in the afternoon excursion Sam Desert:  Located 45 km west of Jaisalmer, are the proper sand dunes popular with camel safaris, this Jaisalmer's nearest real Sahara-like desert, the ripples on the wind-caressed dunes create enchanting images - a photograph's delight. After breakfast, drive to Jodhpur.
Jodhpur is the second largest city in Rajasthan and a major tourist attraction in the country. The city is known as the "Sun City" for the bright, sunny weather it enjoys all year. It is also referred to as the "Blue City" due to the vivid, blue-painted houses around. Upon arrival check in at hotel.
In the afternoon, you will visit Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada and Clock Tower. As Rajasthan’s largest fort, Mehrangarh forms a looming presence over Jodhpur with walls that soar 120 meters (400 feet) high above the surrounding cityscape. There are several palaces inside the fort. The fort looks magnificent from the city and if you go inside the fort, the fort reciprocates the favor: the city looks unbelievably wonderful from the fort. Jaswant Thada is situated on the left side of Fort Mehrangarh, in fact between the fort and the city. Well-maintained gardens welcome you inside the compound and provide a great base to sit back and reflect on what you’ve seen and experienced.Later you will walk into Clock Tower bazaar built by Maharaja Sardar Singh (1880-1911) from whom the market takes its name. In fact, the tower dominates the entire scenario.

After breakfast, drive to Udaipur. En route visit the famous Jain Temple of Ranakpur (Temples open from 1200 to 1600 hrs. for the public daily. Ranakpur is widely known for its marble Jain temple, said to be the most spectacular of the Jain temples light coloured marble has been used for the construction of this grand temple. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. Afternoon you will be free/walk in the local bazaar or relax at the hotel.

After breakfast,  proceed to visit the city of lakes and palaces, cradled in the hills of the Aravalli range. The name itself "The City of Sunrise" evokes a sense of romance. We first visit the City Palace - the focal point of the city and several areas of interest like the Suraj Gokhada, Badi Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Mor Chowk (the peacock courtyard), and the Zenana Mahal. Next, we visit the Jagdish Temple, located close to the Palace with its imposing sculpted figures and heavily ornamented interiors. Finally, stop by to visit Sahelion ki Bari Gardens or the ‘Garden of maids’; built under the express guidance of Maharana Sangram Singh II, it is believed that the garden was constructed for 48 maids who accompanied the Maharana's wife as dowry. This evening, we take a boat ride at Lake Pichola, 4 km long and 3 km broad, surrounded by splendid hills, palaces, temples, bathing ghats, and embankments. Visit the island palace, Jag Mandir which is beautifully set in the lake.

After Breakfast, check out and proceed to Airport to connect the flight to Delhi. Upon arrival, you will be by met by our office staff and taken to the International airport (If the flight lands at the Domestic Airport terminal, instead of the International terminal ).
